Leg up for youth
15/10/2008 | HELPING Cootamundra’s youth along their educational and career pathway is the aim of the Cootamundra and District Country Education Fund. The community initiative will be launched at the Cootamundra Ex-Servicemen’s Club this Friday night from 6pm, with all interested community members invited to discover more about the fund and its objectives. The fund is only possible through the generous donation of former Bethungra resident and Cootamundra High School pupil Laurie Cowled.

12/09/2008 | Two birthdays were celebrated last Saturday night at the Coota Hotel with a wicked “Movie Characters” theme party. Mick Duncan’s birthday was September 9 and Janette Milne’s is today. About 30 friends from various places travelled to be with the birthday couple and had lots of fun trying to identify each other. Bradman unveiled
29/08/2008 | THE grandson of cricketing great Sir Donald Bradman, Tom Bradman, was in Cootamundra on Wednesday to reveal the bust of his grandpa, signifying the completion, to date, of the Captains’ Walk. Also in Cootamundra for the event was Tom Bass, who sculpted the bust and school created the more recent busts.
