OH, WHAT A MOVE!

Oh, what a move local couple Kevin and Evan Moriarty (here pictured) have planned! They are preparing for ‘the move of a

lifetime’ managing a resort in Vanuatu!

The resort Benjor Beach Club is situated on the beach, just a 10 minute ride out of Port Vila. Eva will have two cooks on her staff and how lucky will they be working for such a TOP ‘cordonbleu’ cook? Kevin will also be busy in his managerial role overseeing all of the resort’s doings.

This story is something one would ‘dream’ of doing in one’s lifetime (ie. me, who has a ‘passionate’ love of the ocean!)

GOOD LUCK EVA AND KEVIN.

PATRICK’S ARRIVAL

What a delight for first time parents Craig and Sonia Golden with the arrival of their son Patrick James. Patrick was born Friday, April 4, at the Cootamundra Hospital, weighing a healthy 4.04kgs.

Excited grandparents are Margaret and the late Keith Parkinson and Fay and the late John Golden. All are doing well.

CONGRATULATIONS.

GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

Tomorrow Cootamundra couple Betty and Billy Woods of Hurley Street will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. WARMEST CONGRATULATIONS are extended to this popular pair from their many friends and family members.

PICTURE PERFECT DAY

It was a picture perfect day on Saturday last when Chris Rumble wed Wagga girl Angela Henderson. The wedding was held at the MTC Racecourse and the reception took place in the Members Lounge there.

Chris is the son of Paul and Paula Rumble of “Weventure” Muttama.

CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS AND ANGELA

QUEENSLAND VISITORS

It was such a fun time when former district residents Phillip and Bruce Russell returned to holiday with Di and Alvin Buchanan. Phil and Alvin have been ‘lifelong friends’ and the Russell brothers tell the story of the time when the family lived at Bethungra where their dad Jack was stationmaster and their mum ‘manned’ the Bethungra railway gates (I have a ‘memory’ of travelling home from balls in Wagga and having to wake the ‘gate attendant’ to let us through the gates!!).

The brothers now live in Queensland, Phillip on the Gold Coast and Bruce in Brisbane.

SWINGING ALONG

The upcoming show It Just Takes Two concert is shaping up to be BIG! Rehearsals are underway and to quote the effervescent producer Meg Smith they are swinging along.

The show will take place on Friday and Saturday May 16 and 17 with all proceeds going to that very worthy cause CanAssist. Tickets can be purchased from Simply Shooz, so get in early to avoid disappointment!

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS

Pleased to have the opportunity to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mrs Leila Coggan, of the Cootamundra Retirement Village. She today celebrates her birthday. Do have a GREAT day Mrs Coggan.

AND Paul Walsh from Walsh’s Signs celebrated his birthday yesterday.

Also a ‘birthday boy’ yesterday was Geoff Forsyth.
