CONGRATULATIONS GENEVIEVE
Wallendbeen lady Genevieve Jacobs whom we hear each week broadcasting on Canberra ABC radio, certainly ‘rose to the occasion’ on Saturday last in Canberra when she acted as MC for the Festival and Commissioning Mass held at Exhibition Park in Canberra.
In front of over 10,000 people from all around the world Genevieve announced proceedings, her voice echoing around the park as she informed all on what was to take place (on a ‘lighter note’ Genevieve was hard pressed to be heard at the end of this UPLIFTING day out as pilgrims and locals ‘chattered and sang’ their way out of exhibited Park!!) CONGRATULATIONS GENEVIEVE
BIRTHDAY GREETINGS
So pleased to be making mention of the 90th birthday of Mrs Adelaide (Tac) Rourke. Mrs Rourke who is the mother of Geoff Rourke, of Centenary Avenue, is a resident of the Cootamundra Retirement Village and from all accounts she did so enjoy a very SPECIAL time on the occasion of her 90th birthday which was Saturday last July 12.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE
It is not too late to phone marvellous lady Kay Weatherall at Yandilla Mustard Seed Oil, Wallendbeen, and make a booking for the upcoming Cooking Demonstration taking place there on Saturday and Sunday next. Writer and culinary creative Charmaine O’Brien will be preparing flavours of India for all in attendance to ENJOY!
STORYTIME
Now, how pleased will everyone be to know that when we are looking for children’s books (or books for adults) we can call into Sportspower and Toyworld. The girls there are having such a terrific time displaying all the new stock as it arrives.
I called there yesterday to view some of the children’s books (looking for a gift to send) and did so enjoy browsing through the vast range now available at Sportspower and Toyworld.
Well done Sue, seeing the need to sell a diverse range of books here she took that need ‘on board’ and if the girls there do not have what you want, they are very happy to order it in.
ABDUCTING DIANA!
It is not too late to get your tickets for the most EXCITING production Abducting Diana set to take place this Saturday night at the Arts
Centre. Tickets can be purchased at Art-FX and the play commences at 8pm sharp,
SEE YOU THERE!
