SATURDAY DINING
It was a pleasant evening out for Bruce and Kathryn Webb and Chris and Julie Manwaring when they dined out at the Albion Talk of the Town Restaurant last Saturday night.
MEMBERS DELIGHTED
The Cootamundra Soroptimist members were delighted to learn regular exhibitor David Clarke was a major prize winner of an acquisitive prize at Singleton Art Show last weekend. He said that he felt he was in very prestigious company as among other artists exhibiting were Brian Stratton and Margaret Olley.
David currently has some of his works hanging at Art-FX and he kindly donated one of his beautiful water colour paintings for the raffle at our Wattle Time Art Exhibition last year. He has been a long time supporter of the Wattle Time Art Exhibition.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
We missed this ‘happy news snippet’ in Wednesday’s Herald - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to first-class lady Lindsey Baber who on Wednesday last celebrated her birthday. Friends took her to Art-FX to celebrate and a ‘snug’ dinner took place in the evening.
Friends of ‘popular lad’ Daniel Fisher wish to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow.
Have no doubt that he will be afforded a TOP day.
AND, Warmest Birthday Wishes to Mrs Edna Mayo, a resident of the Cootamundra Nursing Home, who also tomorrow July 19 celebrates her birthday.
MONDAY’S THE DAY
So pleased to let ladies know that the Cootamundra Library will once again hosting a “Knit in day”. Monday next is the day, Stephen Ward Rooms is the place, the time 10am to 4pm.

‘FINANCIAL PARTY’
The staff of HMA Twomey Patterson met last Saturday night at the White Ibis Restaurant under the banner “End of Financial Year Party”.
Staff from their Wagga, Coolamon, Harden, Young and Cootamundra offices gathered to ENJOY a relaxed evening out over dinner. The partners thanked all staff for their loyal dedication (bearing in mind that work for them will
move at a hectic pace over the
ensuing months).
MEETING ALL!
Last Saturday was certainly a day for MEETING ALL! At the Festival and Commissioning Mass held at Exhibition Park Canberra, the people present from Cootamundra had an extraordinary time meeting people from all over the world.
Caroline Howse and Sue Heggaton are here pictured with one of the youth present from Zimbabwe .
On a ‘lighter note’ the girls from County Kildare, Ireland (who had been staying in Boorowa) commented that a bus full of Irish youth attended the Cowra Picnic Races last Friday and what an Aussie day out it was!!
